Police officers of the Turkestan region detained a suspect in fraud with land plots, reports zakon.kz.

According to the press service of the Police Department of the Turkestan region, the duty station of the Sairam District Police Department received a statement from a local resident that he was a victim of fraud.

According to the victim, a certain acquaintance sold him three land plots of 8 acres each for 4.5 million tenge two years ago.

After a while, it turned out that one site’s documents were out of order, and the other two belonged to other people. The victim demanded to return the money, but the acquaintance was playing for time, promising to draw up the documents. Without waiting for the money to be returned, a resident of the Sairam district turned to the police for help. It is noted that as a result of operational-search activities, the police detained the suspect and took him to the Sairam District Police Department.

The man is under subscription. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is being carried out on these facts. The investigation is finding out all the circumstances of the incident, – added in the department.
