In the Kordai district of the Zhambyl region at the Otar station, 10 empty platforms of the freight train No. 2534 descended on the Shu-Almaty route, reports zakon.kz.

On February 6 at 15:30 in the Zhambyl region in the Kordai district at 3858 km of the Bel-Anrakhai stretch, 10 empty platforms of freight train No. 2534 descended on the Shu-Almaty route (a train of 54 empty, empty), of which 7 – from overturning on its side (5 – went into a ditch, 2 – overturned onto an odd track), 3 platforms derailed. press service of emergency situations of Zhambyl region

The department clarified that as a result of the emergency, there was a delay at the Otar station:

• passenger train # 3 with the route “Almaty-Nur-Sultan” 4 hours 45 minutes (167 passengers, including 3 children, 18 cars);
• passenger train # 15 with the route “Almaty-Petropavlovsk” 2 hours 37 minutes (445 passengers, including 43 children, 16 cars);
• passenger train # 41 with the route “Almaty-Atyrau” 1 hour (227 passengers, including 1 child, 17 cars);
• passenger train # 43 with the route “Almaty-Kostanay” 30 minutes (200 passengers, including 1 child, 19 cars).

There are no casualties or injuries. At 20:00 in the Emergency Situations Department, a hotline telephone is opened. At the Otar station, the emergency medical service is on duty, the regional emergency department informed.

It is noted that at 21:30 the movement of passenger trains on the odd track was restored.

Repair and restoration work is carried out by the forces of NC KTZ JSC (50 workers, 6 units of equipment and 2 recovery trains at Shu station and Almaty station). 4 Emergency Situations and 6 police officers went to the scene, the department added.
