Kazakhstanis can no longer carry a driver’s license and technical documentation. The law was announced on February 2 and will come into force on February 13, Deputy Chairman of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Serik Tusupov said at the briefing. zakon.kz correspondent reports.

On February 1, the President signed a law allowing Kazakhstan to carry or not present a technical document issued for transport. The law was promulgated on February 2 and will come into force on February 13. At the same time, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the hierarchy of regulations is always higher than the rules of the road, in this regard, from February 13 there will be no need to carry these documents with you, – said Tusupov.

Despite the signed law, he said that these documents will be issued in the future, as driver’s licenses and technical passports are socially important public services.

Every year we issue about 500 thousand driver’s licenses and about 1.5 million vehicle registration certificates. We will continue this work, these documents are necessary for the participation of our citizens in the international movement, as well as for their employment, car sales and other civil relations. Including confirmation of the driver’s employment qualification, – said the Deputy Chairman of the Committee.

If a police officer requires the presentation of documents, the driver can call 102 or the Department of Homeland Security, as indicated in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and can cancel the completed administrative report in court.

We do not restrict the rights of drivers here. However, each employee was given information and instructions on the provisions of the new law, so such cases will not happen, – concluded Serik Tusupov.
