Banning visits to forests in the heat is planned in the north of Kazakhstan

On meeting of the akimat of the North Kazakhstan region, the head of the region Kumar Aksakalov instructed to adopt a resolution on limiting the stay of individuals in the forest during a period of high fire danger, reports zakon.kz with reference to Petropavlovsk.news.

At the moment, the resolution has not yet been adopted and has not been published on the website of open regulatory legal acts. However, it should be borne in mind that in the near future the project will be submitted for public discussion, which usually lasts a little over two weeks, and will be adopted.

The residents of the North Kazakhstan region underwent this practice in 2020. True, this year the authorities decided to take care of the safety of the forest fund in advance. In the past, the intentions were published only in August, although there was an incredible heat on the territory of the region throughout the spring-summer period. First, the akimat proposed to prohibit citizens from going to the forests when the air temperature is above +25 degrees. Then, after a flurry of indignation, the forbidden degree was increased to +30.

In connection with the increase in air temperature and high fire hazard in forests, it is necessary to adopt a resolution of the akimat on limiting the stay of individuals on the territory of the state forest fund of the North Kazakhstan region during a period of high fire danger. We know what happened in the East Kazakhstan region. The living quarters were damaged, the fire caused great material damage. There are a lot of forest areas in our region. During weekends, when the weather is hot outside, I instruct you to take all measures to limit visits to the forests of the region, – instructed Kumar Aksakalov.

According to the regional center of hydrometeorology in the territory of the North Kazakhstan region in the period from 15 to 17 May 2021, a strong heat is expected up to 27 to 33 degrees Celsius in the daytime.

The Emergency Situations Department of the region recommends that you strictly follow the fire safety rules while in the woods. And it reminds of the round-the-clock operating telephone 112, which you can call in case of a threat or an emergency.
