Very slippery: Astana residents are unhappy with the Atyrau bridge

A resident of the city of Nur-Sultan spoke about the impracticality of the Atyrau bridge, donated by the region of the same name for the 20th anniversary of the capital, reports zakon.kz.

Facebook user Arslan Sagin complained about the slippery coating of the bridge, calling it a test for the strong in spirit and legs.

How to understand that the bridge was presented to Astana by the west of Kazakhstan? We must wait for winter. And it will become clear that the people who prepared the project were not in Astana in winter. We did not walk along the slippery streets of the city. Or, most of the budget was spent on project design. Walking on this bridge in winter, especially in cold weather, is a test for the strong in spirit and strong in legs, – complained a resident of Nur-Sultan.

The Atyrau bridge in Nur-Sultan is located on the embankment of the Esil River. It connects the pedestrian flows, the bicycle network of the park area, and the embankment of the right bank of the river.

I understand they don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. But this “horse” takes up a lot of space in the center of the house. And it will already climb. Although outwardly, of course, beautiful.
Suggestion: Lay the correct cover for the cycle path when it gets warm. And, more importantly, pedestrian coverage. At least cover with sturgeon scales, just not to slip, – summed up the resident of the capital.

The total length of the pedestrian bridge is 313.5 meters, width – 10.5 meters. The structure includes a six-meter pedestrian lane, a three-meter bike path, a 0.5-meter safety lane and two 0.5-meter lanes for a railings.
