The RSE “Kazhydromet” provided an advisory weather forecast for the Republic of Kazakhstan for February, according to zakon.kz.

According to climatic data, in February the duration of daylight hours increases by an average of 2-3 hours. In the southern regions, there is a transition of average daily temperatures through 0 ° to positive values. In most of the republic, fogs and icy phenomena are observed more often than in January. The amount of precipitation from January to February decreases, only in the mountainous regions of Kazakhstan, on the contrary, it increases, the department said.

According to the advisory forecast, in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the passage of the Southern and Western cyclones, the removal of warm air masses from the regions of Iran, an increased background air temperature is expected. Precipitation is often assumed in the southern half of the country mainly in the form of rain, in the northern half – mixed precipitation (rain, snow). Fog, ice, increased wind are predicted, in the northern regions with a blowing snowstorm. Cyclones and anticyclones are expected to change frequently during February.

By the middle of the first decade, an increase in air temperature is expected in the republic:

in the west at night up to -5 + 3 ° С, in the daytime up to -2 + 10 ° С;
in the north, north-west, in the center and in the east at night up to 0, -10 ° С, during the day
to -5 + 3 ° C;
in the southwest, south and southeast at night up to -3 + 5 ° С, in the daytime up to + 8 + 15 ° С.

At the end of the first decade, with the intrusion of the anticyclone, air temperatures will decrease:

in the north, east and center of Kazakhstan at night up to -15-25 ° С, in the daytime up to -10-16 ° С;
in the west, north-west of the country at night up to -10-18 ° С, in the daytime up to -5-12 ° С;
in the southern regions at night up to -7-15 ° С, during the day up to -5 + 5 ° С.

In the second and third decades with the removal of warm air masses, air temperatures will increase again: in the northern half during the day to 0, -7 ° С, in the southern half – up to + 5 + 10 ° С, in the extreme south + 15 ° С. However, a significant drop in air temperature is also possible. With inflows of cold air masses from the Taimyr regions in the northern, central and eastern regions of the republic, thermometer columns can drop at night to -20-30 ° C, in the daytime to -10-18 ° C, in the north-western part of the country at night to -10-18 ° С, in the daytime up to -7-12 ° С, in the southern half of the Republic of Kazakhstan at night up to -7-12 ° С, in places up to -15-20 ° С, in the daytime up to -2-13 ° С.

The monthly forecast should be used as an advisory one, which is subsequently adjusted as the synoptic situation changes and is refined by weather forecasts for a decade.
