As reported by the Astana TV channel, an employee of the women’s colony in Karaganda promised the convict a ticket to freedom. The lieutenant colonel of justice assured the woman that he has connections in higher authorities. I asked for 3 million tenge for my service. Allegedly, for this money, the prisoner was supposed to replace the real term with a suspended one. Relatives quickly raised the required amount, but the prisoner never got out. Then the relatives turned to the anti-corruption service. As a result, the colony worker was arrested. The court found him guilty of fraud and incitement to bribe. He was also stripped of all titles.

It is noted that the man pleaded not guilty.

Under these articles, a punishment was imposed in the form of 4 years of imprisonment with the serving of the sentence in a correctional institution of medium security. The deputy head of the institution promised to help the convict to be released on parole. He fraudulently simply took possession of the money and could not influence in any way.
