Financial pyramid revealed in Karaganda region

Since the beginning of January, the Satpayev police department began to receive applications from citizens who became victims of fraudsters, reports zakon.kz.

The attacker, through the application, contacted the victims and offered them to invest in a super-profitable business. Moreover, the return was quick – today you give, for example, 10 thousand tenge, and tomorrow you will receive 20 thousand tenge of net profit. Such unnatural profitability only attracted naive citizens. (…) Some transferred to the swindler 100-200 thousand tenge, others – 500-700 thousand. And one resident of Satpayev risked all her savings, giving the charlatan 2 million 700 thousand tenge. press service of the Police Department of the Karaganda region

The department noted that people turned to the police only when they realized that they had been deceived.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Fraud”. Law enforcement officers began an investigation and soon identified the swindler’s identity – it turned out to be a 24-year-old girl, a resident of Ust-Kamenogorsk. She was detained by employees of the criminal police, – the DP was informed.

During the pre-trial investigation, it turned out that the malefactor was involved in 18 cases of fraud, which she committed according to the same scheme.

Moreover, not only the inhabitants of Satpayev, but also Nur-Sultan fell for her bait. The approximate total amount of damage caused by the swindler is about 10 million tenge, the press service specified.

The police warn that if a citizen has become a victim of online fraudsters, then he needs to contact the law enforcement agencies at his place of residence to carry out the necessary checks and initiate a criminal case, and in order not to get into such situations – not to make dubious transactions on the Internet. The promise of high returns in a short time is the first sign of a pyramid scheme.
