Kazakhstan wants to donate ammunition and equipment to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed two draft resolutions on the provision of gratuitous military-technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, reports zakon.kz.

Drafts for open discussion are published on the NLA website.

The explanatory notes indicate that the projects were developed in accordance with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The projects involve the provision of free military-technical assistance by Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the form of the transfer of military equipment. It is also stated that “the transferred property is unused and stored in excess, and therefore budget funds for its restoration will not be required.”

At the same time, our country will ensure the delivery of military equipment by rail from the Otar station (Zhambyl region) to the territory of Tajikistan (Rakhoti station, Dushanbe city). And it will also provide delivery to Kyrgyzstan (Koy-Tash settlement).

Both Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will not be able to transfer the military property received from the RK to a third party.

  • 5.45 mm cartridges with PS bullet – 3 000 240 pieces
