Children under six are in survival mode
At an expanded meeting of the government, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan raised the issue of improving the country’s kindergartens, reports zakon.kz.
About 900 thousand children are being educated in 11 thousand preschool institutions. However, 36% of them are without sewerage, 29% are without hot water and 11% are without warm toilets. In fact, a significant portion of our children are in survival mode in the first six years of their lives, ā€¯Tokayev said.
He instructed the government and akims to solve these problems.
Also, according to the President, it is required that the plan includes tasks for the introduction of alternative forms of preschool education.
