Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Sultangaziev spoke at a briefing in the Central Communications Service about combating capital outflows and not turning the economy offshore., zakon.kz correspondent reports.

Comprehensive work is being done to combat capital outflows and offshore the economy. In the framework of electronic information exchange with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, we have signed a multilateral convention. Starting this year, we plan to exchange information with the OECD on the financial accounts of citizens of Kazakhstan with more than 100 jurisdictions, – said Sultangaziev.

According to him, communication channels are being inspected and interaction with banks is being established.

We have already received information about 164 individuals who received money from abroad. It turned out that somewhere it is income, somewhere it is not income. Transfers to Kazakhstan were made to these 164 people for a total of 45 billion tenge. We have already collected 68 million tenge in taxes, – he said.

The head of the SCE reminded that since January 2021, Kazakhstan has started to conduct a universal declaration of income and property.

The Universal Declaration includes the most prepared categories of citizens – civil servants, as well as persons equated to them, their spouses. Only 480 thousand people. To facilitate the fulfillment of obligations on social benefits, it is planned to combine pension contributions, social contributions and contributions to the compulsory health insurance fund, Sultangaziev concluded.
