Is it possible not to wear a mask after being vaccinated against coronavirus

The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan explained whether it is necessary not to wear a mask after vaccination against coronavirus, the correspondent of zakon.kz reports.

To create conditions for general relaxation, the lifting of restrictive measures, we need to understand that we must cover at least 50% of the population with vaccinations. This is so that we have an effective herd immunity. Therefore, we will consider these measures after the vaccination campaign, – said the Chief State Sanitary Doctor – Vice Minister of Health Yerlan Kiyasov at a briefing at the Central Communications Service.

Vice Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat explained that after vaccination, a mask must be worn in order not to get sick with other infectious diseases.

After vaccination, antibodies begin to be produced after two weeks and up to 56 days. After 56 days, strong immunity is already developed. Therefore, we recommend wearing masks before the second dose of the vaccine, so as not to get infected with some other infection. After two months of the introduction of the vaccine, a person has immunity, she explained.
