Ayurvedic scalp massage will help accelerate hair growth, reports zakon.kz.

According to Profile, Ayurvedic massage was developed over 3000 years ago in India. Nowadays, the technique is becoming more and more popular as it is believed to help speed up hair growth. Is this so, said specialist Farida Irani.

She first explained what this technique is. So, Ayurvedic massage is also known as Abhyanga. It involves the use of herbal oils that are rubbed into the skin.

The purpose of this procedure is to remove toxins. As a rule, massage begins with the scalp, but it does not end there. It is done on the whole body. After the procedure, it is imperative to take a shower in order to wash off all the released toxins.

Irani stressed that traditional Ayurvedic massage is difficult to do at home. After all, it is often performed in four hands. He also assumes being in a steam cabin after the procedure.

The steam generated by the medicinal herbal decoctions flows through the pores. And the remaining toxins in the body are released during the process of perspiration, – said the specialist.

Talking about the benefits of massage for hair growth, Irani confirmed that it will help the hair to become thicker and more well-groomed. It does this by improving blood circulation. At the same time, according to the expert, the result will differ from person to person.

It is possible to do Ayurvedic massage only for the scalp at home. To do this, you need to start massaging the head from the fontanelle, gradually moving to the back of the head. After that, the oil should be left for about two hours, ideally overnight, after which it should be washed off with shampoo.

Irani also warned against a common mistake people make when massaging their heads. According to the specialist, the Indian technique does not imply a horizontal position of the body. When massaging your head, you need to sit in a chair with your back straight, she said.
