Agricultural production to be increased in Akmola region

Akim of Akmola region Ermek Marzhikpayev during a reporting meeting in front of the population, held in an online format, informed about the achievements and future plans for the development of the region in the field of agriculture, reports zakon.kz.

According to the Department of Internal Policy, despite the pandemic and restrictive measures, at the end of the past year, the agricultural sector achieved a steady growth of almost 13% – this is the highest indicator in the industry over the past 10 years.

The region’s farmers harvested 5.2 million tons of grain with an average yield of 11.8 centners / ha, which is a quarter of the gross harvest in the republic. Wheat of the third class accounts for more
90%. Moreover, the quality of the crop in terms of class and gluten is much higher than last year, – said the head of the region.

According to Ermek Marzhikpayev, over 62 billion tenge of private investment was attracted to the industry over the past year, which is 18% higher than the level of 2019.

40 new investment projects were introduced, the capacity of existing enterprises is expanding. Among them – the modernization of the milk processing plant LLP Gormolzavod “with a capacity of 150 tons per day, the creation of a feed mill with a capacity of 28 thousand tons per year of LLP” MMK Ayan “of Arshalyn region, – added the akim of the region.

The construction of a breeding reproducer for 4.5 thousand heads of cattle of Burabay Astyq LLP and a feedlot with a capacity of 5 thousand heads of Bibord LLP has been completed.

In order to develop animal husbandry in the region, a project is being implemented to create and develop a meat cluster – 97 meat and 18 dairy farms have been created, about 10 thousand heads of highly productive livestock have been purchased from domestic breeding farms.

As Marzhikpayev summed up, the measures being implemented will ensure food security in the post-crisis period, thanks to state support, the implementation of projects will continue, which will be aimed at providing the domestic market with domestic products and increasing their exports.
